Summer fun
All school children are invited to come out to Clinton Chapel at 11 a.m. Saturday for a free, fun summer event. Children can participate in games, fun activities, win prizes, and enjoy a cook-out. Adults also are invited. The church is at 302 California Street, York.
Special service
The Rev. Mark and Dee Dee Alterman will be guest speakers Sunday at Jubilee Christian Center, 2105 Old York Road, York. Mark Alterman was raised in a Jewish home and attended three colleges of Jewish higher education and accepted Christ as Saviour in 1965. Since then, he has traveled the world relating New Testament truths to Hebrew customs and traditions. Dee Dee, known as the "Voice that Ministers," also travels the world singing and teaching love and forgiveness. For more details, call the church at 628-5293.
Ice cream social
St. Paul UMC, at 1550 St. Paul Church Road, Clover, will hold an Old Fashion Ice Cream Social from 4:30 to 7 p.m. June 28. The event includes homemade ice cream, hot dogs and drinks. Donations will be accepted. All are invited.
Yard sale
Cornerstone Family Worship Center is hosting a fundraiser yard sale from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. June 21. Hot dogs and soft drinks will be available during the sale. All proceeds will go to Tender Hearts Ministry. The church is located 1090 Black Highway between Cotton Belt Elementary and Wellington Place Apartment.
Preschool program
First United Methodist Church, 124 Bethel St., Clover, is enrolling children aged 3 before Sept. 1 and age 4 for its preschool program. Preschool hours are from 8 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday. Call 222-3496, ext. 13.
